We are pleased to welcome CL Venues as a new member of the NBCC. CL Venues is short for Conference Line, and they are a well-established boutique venue finding and event management agency based in London and operating worldwide. Now, with the global pandemic having badly affected the events industry, we wanted to learn more about how CL Venues are adapting and we were stunned by their innovative approach after talking to Director Martina Aberle.
Hi Martina, how are you?
Thank you so much. Well after the year we all had I think we are just grateful, proud and happy to still be in business and I do feel with the news about the vaccine things are definitely looking more positive now.
We are very happy to have CL Venues as a new member of the NBCC, can you please tell us a bit about the company?
CL Venues was founded in 1987 as one of the first independent event agencies in the UK. Over the years we have helped to organised many successful events on a global basis – from conferences, incentives, product launches as well as award dinners and charity events. We also specialise in a free venue finding service which is very popular with our clients as it saves them time and money and our connections and buying power do enable us to offer very competitive rates! We are a boutique agency with a personal touch and we are proud of our longstanding network of venues all over the world – from quirky and unusual to all the major hotel chains and conference centres.
Can you tell us about a new project that CL Venues is currently working on?
As our industry has been badly affected by the global pandemic and economic crisis this year, we had to rethink and diversify. We are firm believers of collaboration and teamed up with some amazing suppliers and can now help with virtual events. We are currently spreading the word about our ‘Virtual Christmas Ideas’ and it is therefore wonderful to be able to tell all your members about it [Virtual Christmas Party and Entertainment.Brochure]. Sadly Christmas parties cannot happen this year, but we do feel that a virtual gathering can still motivate the team and could be a positive reward for them.
Why did CL Venues choose to become a member of the NBCC?
We were recommended to the NBCC by another client and worked on an event brief for them. To get to know them better, we had a look on the NBCC website and were really impressed with all the offerings. Naturally, we thought what a terrific opportunity for us it could be to make new connections and to get to know different markets. Thank you very much for having us!
