Please meet Adam Wilson, a council member of NBCC Young Professionals!

Adam is the newest member of the Young Professionals Council having joined in January 2022. He is an Associate Chartered (UK) Trade Mark Attorney with over 5 years’ experience in the trade marks and wider intellectual property profession, and works at the law firm Marks & Clerk LLP, one of the NBCC’s partners. At Marks & Clerk LLP, Adam is involved in all aspects of trade mark protection and portfolio management including pre-filing advice, clearance searching and prosecuting of trade mark applications. Adam’s practice is predominantly contentious work, including oppositions, post-registration challenges, and settlement negotiations between parties. As well as advising and assisting clients across a broad spectrum of sectors, Adam has a specific focus on the animation, gaming, content-streaming and e-sports sectors.

Adam says that networking and business development are not something that has come naturally to him, and he was, therefore, keen to be involved with the NBCC YP to not only improve his own skills but also to help put on events for other young professionals to network with each other as a safe space for those who might similarly find networking daunting. After an absence from the NBCC YP for many years, he is proud to be a part of the council’s restart.
