The Council meets 6-8 times per year to discuss the way forward for NBCC and to make strategic decisions.
NBCC’s Council – elected by the Chamber’s members at the annual General Meeting – currently has ten members. The Council represents industries of great importance to the bilateral trade relations between Norway and the UK, and members are based in Aberdeen, Norway and the London area/South-East England. Also the General Manager attends Council meetings.

Sidsel has been living in the UK for the last 13 years, first in Newcastle upon Tyne and since 2004 in Aberdeen. Sidsel has a background from banking and politics, she has been running her own business, Consultare Ltd, in the UK.
Agnes has been a Board Member for the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce since 2013. She is originally from Bergen, Norway.
Agnes began her career within the financial services sector. She has been a member of the NBCC since 2005, when she started working in the learning and development field, representing a Norwegian leadership company. Agnes moved to intercultural business coaching in 2008, where she has worked with a diverse client base across consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, energy, financial services, automotive and manufacturing sectors. Clients are mainly large multinationals. She has also worked with government organisations and NGOs, both in Norway and the UK.
Agnes is ‘Siviløkonom’ from the Norwegian School of Ecnomics (NHH), holds a degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, a PGCE in Coaching, a PGCE in Education from University College London and a Conversion Diploma in Psychology.

Statoil has approximately 300 staff in London, which makes it one of the largest international offices of Statoil ASA, pursuing a broad range of activities relating to energy production and sales in Britain. Exploration, Development and Production International Statoil in the UK produces oil and gas and conducts exploration and development activities on the UK Continental shelf.
The exploration and business development teams also support Statoil ASA’s growing international E&P activity. The London office is responsible for marketing and risk managing Statoil’s non-Norwegian equity crude oil production. There are also Operations and Chartering based in the UK office.
Statoil is a substantial supplier of gas, mainly imported from Norway, to the British market, and has one of its four sales offices based in London. Global Strategy and Business Development actively drive the corporate development of Statoil through corporate strategy, business development and mergers and acquisitions activities.
