CHARITY AUCTION & RAFFLE
Bede House
Bede House is a local Southwark charity with the flexibility to respond to the area’s changing needs. Since 1938, they’ve been working to unlock new possibilities for the young and old to live fuller lives, in some of Britain’s most deprived neighbourhoods. They bring people from all walks of life together into a vibrant local community and offer young people a special place to find friendship and enjoy exciting activities, outside of their home and school environment. Bede has also spent over 20 years helping those experiencing domestic abuse. Their multidisciplinary team offers one-to-one guidance, group programmes, counselling and access to legal assistance.
Before the event, we had an exciting and uplifting interview with them which you can read here.
Give Opportunity Global
Give Opportunity Global (GOG) is a volunteer-led NGO based in London. They support children to access education in Africa and empower women and young people through micro-finance schemes that help to alleviate poverty. Entrepreneurship and innovation are at the heart of their mission, and they have already built five schools, educated over 10,000 children and lifted more than 2,500 women and young people out of poverty.
We recommend reading this article to get a deeper insight into the organisation and how it was founded.
